Music and Drama Awards

Clairbourn School’s Music and Drama Awards are held on the last week of each school year during the Morning Assembly. The Music and Drama Awards are a way for Clairbourn School to honor its students who diligently practice their music and drama skills, as they grow into well-rounded individuals.

Most Improved Musician Award for Beginning Strings and Most Improved Musician Awards for Beginning Band: Qualifications for Most Improved Musician include displaying knowledge of basic fundamentals of the instrument, listening to and applying constructive criticism, maintaining nearly perfect attendance, turning in practice records, and displaying excellent citizenship. All factors contributed to each student’s overall growth, progress, and improvement. The winner for the Most Improved Musician Award for Beginning Strings is Arthur Z. The winners for the Most Improved Musician Award for Beginning Band are Karissa L. and Shogo H.

Most Improved Musician Award for Intermediate Strings and Most Improved Musician Award for Intermediate Band: Qualifications for Most Improved Musician Awards, at the Intermediate level, include continued progress shown from the previous year of instruction, patience and tenacity required to master new techniques and skills, listening and applying constructive criticism, maintaining nearly perfect attendance, turning in practice records, and displaying excellent citizenship. The Most Improved Musician Award for Intermediate Strings goes to Annabelle C., and the Most Improved Musician Award for Intermediate Band goes to Andy H.

Outstanding Musician Award for Clairbourn Strings Ensemble and Outstanding Musician Award for Clairbourn Band: The qualifications for this award includes dedication, enthusiasm, willingness to ask questions and tackle new pieces, and a determination to learn. Through hard work and practice, the recipients of these awards met the above challenges, and showed impressive, notable progress. The winner of the Outstanding Musician Award for the Clairbourn Strings Ensemble is Madison B. The winner of Outstanding Musician Award for the Clairbourn Band is Austin H.

Middle School Drama Book Award winner, Chelsea C.

Middle School Drama Book Award: The Middle School Drama Book Award was awarded to a brilliant-minded eighth-grader who was a pleasure to work with in Clairbourn’s Shakespeare and Winnie the Pooh drama productions. She displayed dedication and diligence, perfect comedic timing, and natural talents which helped make the productions absolutely delightful. The book awarded to our winner this year was The Norton Shakespeare, which contains a complete collection of Shakespeare’s work. The winner of the Middle School Drama book award is Chelsea C.
