Some of you may heave heard that geese laid eggs on top of the Clairbourn School batting cage this spring. There were fears that the eggs would cook on the hot roof and not develop into chicks. There were also concerns that if the eggs hatched, the babies would be trapped on the roof with no way down.
However, a miracle of nature occurred! Not only did the eggs hatch, but the chicks safely jumped off the roof without harm. The five little hatchlings strolled through campus, made their way as a family to La Presa street on the east side of campus, and then found their way to the adjacent wetlands nearby. These little guys had an exciting start to their life, and we wish them well on their journey!
